Carl Weathersby
Carl Weathersby was born in Mississippi in 1953 and moved to Indiana when he was eight years old. He toured as rhythm guitarist for a family friend Albert King in 1979, 1980 and 1982, and has been a member of Chicago's SOBs (Sons of Blues) for the last 14 years. His impact on the SOBs during this period has been huge. Along with Billy Branch's harmonica-playing, Carl's strong guitar work, soul-styled vocals and original compositions have defined the group's sound. His childhood trip from a rural Mississippi to urban Indiana, that country to city dislocation, is all captured and expressed in his soulful voice.

Carl's Evidence CD, DON'T LAY YOUR BLUES ON ME, showcases all of his strengths, playing, singing and writing. The rawness and intensity of Carl's playing is heard throughout.
