Eddie "The Chief" Clearwater
Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater was born Edward Harrington o January 10, 1935 in Marcon, MS. Residing in Marcon until 13, Harrington moved to Birmingham, AL and started playing the guitar. Soon after, young Eddy could be found near the pulpit strumming his guitar while singing the gospel. Remaining in Alabama until the age of 15, he moved to Chicago in 1950.

BOOGIE MY BLUES AWAY released in 1995 by Delmark Records, delivers Clearwater's many influences - with his own originality. Remarkably all of Clearwater's diversities were captured by one producer in one day.
