Lane Wilkins
Lane Wilkins, after being raised by the Rev. Robert Timothy Wilkins, Sr., has followed in his footsteps by not only performing and recording Delta blues melodies, but she is an educator of blues history as well. She has a great sense of responsibility towards profiting her grandfather and his blues peers, by sharing with people the inside stories on the hearts and minds of these original African American musicians. Lane recorded her premier CD on the Rooster Blues label in Clarksdale, Mississippi. As a writer of stories about the life and times of the Delta blues musicians, Lane has attempted to capture the personalities of legends such as her grandfather and Gus Cannon.
