Steve James
Born in New York City to a musical family, Steve James was bitten by the blues bug early on, and after seeing Muddy Waters and Mississippi John Hurt, he decided to make music his life. In the early 1970s he migrated to Bristol, TN, then Memphis and finally Texas in 1977.

Blues Revue raved about James's "heart, soul, variety and no shortage of wit; all set to some of the finest acoustic/blues/boogie/good-timey backing I've heard in some time." His latest release ART AND GRIT is available on Antone's Records.
